Quick update...
A tornado watch is in effect for western SD/NE WY/SW MT and extreme NW panhandle of NE until 6PM *MDT*...
Some cumulus towers appear to be going up in extreme western panhandle of NE as noted on visible satellite and CYS (Cheyenne) radar site with a few radar echos (<40dBZ). This appears to be along a surging dryline. Kimball, NE is at 86/29 (temperature/dewpoint) while just north in Scottsbluff current report is 82/49. Temperature/dewpoint difference too great for tornadic supercells at this time. Wind shift is also noted.
Will continue to monitor trends...no warnings at this time...Longer discussion coming shortly...
