Discussion

Reports of a tornado SW of Kyle, SD that lasted around 30 minutes. I can't be sure, but judging from reports on forums and tracking several folks on radar, it appears this tornado was visible from 10+ miles away. The cell has lost its composure and has become disorganized, but funnel clouds are still be reported in tornado warned Jackson Counties. (Bennett and Shannon have been cancelled/expired)

Overall, surprising this storm was able to hold itself together for so long. SPC mesoanalysis as of 21Z showed a strong cap in the place of tornadogenesis with CIN of 200+J/kg with CAPE of 2000J/kg. 0-1km helicity was around 150m2/s2 while 0-3km was around 200m2/s2. 5PM obs reveal 84/62 in Winner, SD and Valentine, NE is at 84/56.

Looked at multiple BUFKIT soundings and honestly didn't impress me that much. Hodographs weren't outstanding and didn't look like cap was ever broken really. Storm mode never even got close to supercell mode.
