...Severe Weather Outlook...
Storms broke through the cap first out in western MT (I assume it was capped...not 100% sure since I didn't see the data). In any regard, several tornado warnings and the cells appeared strong, but no tornadoes have been reported. Things are starting to break the cap into ND in the last hour or so.
Not going to look at a lot for tomorrow. 700mb temps are strong at 18Z /16+C at 700/ and still above 12C at 00Z. While there will be leftover thunderstorms from Sunday evening's weather, thinking from Friday/Saturday holds with not much happening until very late in the afternoon/early Monday evening across the Dakotas along the cold front. One positive is that the triple point will be in ND tomorrow, although helicity values don't look great when thunderstorms are to fire tomorrow evening. I wonder if Dan McCarthy /Warning Coordination Meteorologist (WCM)/ would be willing to give a quote for my blog.........
From the post earlier today, two random thoughts...
•I keep having to remind myself to add an hour for central times zone. And then I wonder if I have to add or subtract for zulu (Z/UTC) time; however, its universal so even though its 10 here, its still 4Z (4Z tends to be 11 for me normally).
•4 years since Manchester, SD. Tim doesn't seem too wild about a chase tomorrow, but maybe this is good (?) luck???
