...Severe Weather Outlook...Plains...
12Z GFS is painting a quiet pattern from the remainder of this week and into much of the weeknd. High pressure is building out west and will be around through mid-July out with its center over the desert SW. This means that the Plains will be toasty hot and dry with the early part of July getting into some NW flow. But let's not get the cart ahead of the horse. Next Monday into Tuesday, a shortwave trough develops over ND and propagates SEward into MN and WI on Tuesday. Severe mode should be multicells with hail likely being the severe threat along with some damaging winds.

After early next week, things try to become a bit more active with thunderstorms/showers over much of the Plains on various times under NW flow as ridge starts to break down towards the mid part of July. Confidence is not high on when/where these events will occur, just that it will be a more active period.
